Who is behind those trips ?

Kevin is him, Eva is her, and this photo sums up the challenges we can encounter every time we decide to go on a trip.

The ideal temperature for him is probably around 0°C, while for her it’s more around 30°C. He always wears one or two layers less than everyone else, while she always wears one or two layers more than everyone else.
Defining our destination is never an easy task. Generally, we choose to travel during unconventional periods. This allows us to find a compromise in terms of temperatures and often take advantage of better prices and less crowded places. It also allows us to share with you our off-the-beaten-path trips and let you know if it’s a good plan or if the weather truly hampers the enjoyment.

Besides the temperature, the food is our second biggest challenge while traveling.
She cannot eat gluten, he does eat rice or seafood. You will have understood it that is not the simplest combination.
One way or another we always succeed to find a solution.

Despites those challenges, we travel several weeks per year. We start by Europe and once the borders reopened after Covid, we…. We like traveling slowly and to take our time to discover a region. Our biggest motivation in traveling is to discover new cultures: be conscious of other ways to think, other ways to manage the society, other daily life that we would not be able to imagine. For us, traveling is a real open-minder as well as n every minute discovery.

Despite these challenges, we manage to travel several weeks per year. We start with Europe and once the border reopened after Covid , we move on to international destinations.
We enjoy traveling slowly and taking the time to discover a region. Our biggest motivation to travel is the exploration of new cultures: becoming aware of different ways of thinking, organizing society, and experiencing daily life that we could only barely comprehend by staying at home. For us, travel leads to greater openness and a constant sense of discovery.

In 2024, the two of us quit our jobs in biotechnology to embark on a long journey. We are focusing on Southeast Asia for its safety and the serenity it brings to travel in this part of the world. The Asian culture is also a factor that attracts us: we are all human yes, drawn to money that’s true, but in Asian culture, the group is more important than the individual, and that changes a lot of things.
Thus, we cross Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Japan (again!), Sri Lanka, and…Albania (yes, we ended up in Europe, a little detour we made to travel with Eva’s brother’s family). We come back with stars in our eyes, a light heart, and a mind full of promises at the end of October 2024.
