Vietnam

Vietnam is this long country that stretches over nearly 1,650 km. It is a country with nearly 100 million inhabitants in 2024.
The country features magnificent mountains in the north, beautiful plateaus in the center, and the entire east of the country opens onto the South China Sea.
The country shares its borders with China to the north and with Laos and Cambodia to the west.
The country has a heavy history and offers many lessons to anyone who takes the slightest interest in it: colonization, the Vietnam War are significant events in its modern history, and the scars are still vivid.
Despite a marked modernization, the country retains many traditions that may seem outdated at times, but they are what make Vietnam, Vietnam.
Finally, the cuisine in Vietnam… is simply exquisite. It evolves according to the regions, the dishes are varied, and despite a limited amount of greens, the food remains balanced thanks to very well-defined portions.

The only downside, which unfortunately often comes up in tourist comments, is sometimes the welcome and the vigilance you will need to pay attention to the prices that you will be asked.

This itinerary is quite unusual and for a trip in January, travel guides would rather advise starting from the south to avoid the cold that prevails until March in the northern part of the country. This counterintuitive choice was carefully considered to allow us to avoid crowds, take advantage of the best prices, and for Kévin to enjoy a few moments of coolness…
